Job Description

About the Role:

Golden Gate Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to deliver highquality instruction in Mathematics and Physics for our AS and ALevel (Year 12 & 13) students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the Cambridge curriculum and committed to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment that challenges and inspires students to achieve academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver compelling lessons in Mathematics and Physics for AS and ALevel students.
  2. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and a love for learning.
  4. Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and schemes of work.
  5. Participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities, such as clubs, science fairs, or academic competitions.
  6. Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning practices.
  7. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  8. Actively participate in departmental meetings, school training, and professional development sessions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) with a specialization in Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. A postgraduate teaching certification is an advantage.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of proven experience teaching Mathematics and Physics at the AS and ALevel (Year 12 & 13) within a Cambridge curriculum school.
  3. Techsavvy with a willingness to adopt and integrate new technologies into the teaching process.
