Job Description

The key purpose of this role is to co-ordinate the receiving, issuing, counting and storage of all Raw Materials & M&P Sundries, whilst managing and optimising resources (equipment and people).

Raw material Quality Management​

  • Raw material quality standards are adhered to as per VPO requirements​
  • Raw material sampling and batch recording to ensure traceability of all raw materials
  • Raw material Inventory accurately blocked in SAP with physical blocking mechanism in place as per VPO standards for quality related & obsolescence stock​
  • Ensure stock stored correctly and compliance to the freshness and rotation policy (FEFO) as per VPO standards​

Raw materials Leadership

  • Lead through VPO and support all VPO Pillar requirements.
  • Ensure sufficient human resources availability according to raw material delivery plan.
  • Ensure all VPO procedures and systems are adhered to.
  • Ensure internal customers are supplied with their raw material requirements in terms of supporting the daily brewing plan.
  • Efficient handling and storage of stock, stock rotation according to FEFO, utilization of storage facilities.
  • Ensure and promote a safe and healthy work environment and ensure effective housekeeping / 5S.
  • Highlight deviations to Service level Agreements with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Maintain plant and equipment (scales, forklifts, hoists, harnesses, etc.).
  • GRIR / VIM Query Management.
  • Manage and track KPI’s, PI’s.

Raw Materials Inventory management:

  • Independent inventory counts conducted on all raw material Inventory reconciled to SAP inventory.
  • Inventory count difference identified, investigated, resolved & reported. Un-resolved inventory count differences escalated to DPR/RMSM/PPM with commentary & action plans.​
  • All physical movements of raw material stock transacted in SAP accurately, ​and records kept of all stock batches for traceability.
  • Management of MES stock receipts updated real time.
  • Adherence to storage and stacking policies and procedures.
  • ICE stock count pack compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ideally National Diploma in Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant studies ​
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Stock Control environment​
  • Knowledge of Stock Control Processes ​
  • Knowledge of Brewery processes beneficial
  • FLT license an advantage
  • MS Office & SAP proficiency
