Job Opportunity: Regional Marketing Manager

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reports To: Regional Sales Director

Duty Station: Kenya or Uganda

Role Overview

As Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing impactful marketing strategies that drive growth, market share, and profitability. Working closely with the Regional Director and Commercial teams, you will translate high-level strategies into actionable plans, oversee campaign execution, and ensure strong brand positioning across product categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and commercial strategies for East Africa
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities.
  • Design and execute innovative marketing campaigns to strengthen brand presence.
  • Manage New Product Introductions (NPI) in collaboration with R&D and Project Management Team.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor and measure performance using KPIs, adjusting strategies for optimal outcomes.
  • Manage budgets and resources to maximise ROI

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree (MBA/Marketing specialization) is an added advantage
  • Membership in a professional marketing body (e.g., Uganda Marketers Society – UMS, or Chartered Institute of Marketing – CIM) is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Marketing Manager in the Pharmaceutical industry preferably in Veterinary medicine
  • Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in budget management and project execution.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to handle both strategic and tactical tasks.
