Job Description
State House is seeking experienced and results-driven individuals to take up Finance/Accounting positions at the Presidential Industrial Hubs/Skilling Centres. The vacant positions are tenable under the State House Presidential Industrial Hubs located in the following sub regions: Acholi – Gulu; Ankole – Mbarara; Bugisu; Mbale; Bunyoro – Masindi; Busoga – Jinja; Bukeddi; Kibuku; Kigezi – Kabale: Karamoja – Napak; Lango; Lira, Madi – Adjuman, Greater Masaka – Masaka, Mubende – Mubende, Mmengo – Kayunga: Rwenzori; Ntoroko; Rwenzori – Kaseese; Sebei – Kween;; Teso – Soroti; Tooro – Kyenjojo: West Nile – Zombo, Kampala Skilling Centres.
- The job is field based and will require the incumbent to travel to designated administrative units across the country.
- The vacancies are on contract terms: two (2) year renewable by mutual agreement upon successful completion.
- The successful candidates will be responsible for developing strategies for efficient management of SACCOs and microfinance operations.

Qualifications:
- An Honours Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting Or An Honours Bachelor’s degree with a bias in accounting/Finance option Or a Bachelor of Microfinance obtained from a recognized awarding institution Or Full professional qualification in Accountancy obtained from a recognized awarding Institution accredited by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).
- A postgraduate qualification with a bias in Business Administration or Management or Monitoring and Evaluation obtained from a recognized awarding Institution.
Experience:
A minimum of Four (4) years of proven experience in financial management,
Other requirements:
- Strong knowledge of ICT
- Conversant with rural community development
- Report writing skills
- Good communication skills in English and Local Language
