ACCOUNTANT

Job Description

Luba Group of Companies, a dynamic organization with operations in real estate, manufacturing, and events is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountantto join our team at LUBA House, Mpererwe.

Purpose of the Role

To maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support the company’s financial health through effective accounting processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and company records.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax planning, filing, and compliance with Ugandan tax regulations.
• Reconcile accounts including receivables, payables, and bank accounts.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.
• Perform any other duties aligned with departmental objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or ACCA certification (completed or in advanced stages) is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of Ugandan tax laws and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent computer literacy and accounting software proficiency.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under minimal supervision.
