Chronological Biography of Kaye Busimo
1. Early Life and Health Challenges
o Born and raised in Mukono District, Uganda, Kaye Busimo experienced significant health challenges from the age of three. Complications from measles led to severe hearing impairments, resulting in chronic pain, repeated medical procedures, and eventual hearing loss in his left ear and reduced capacity in his right ear. Despite these difficulties, Kaye remained determined to pursue education and personal development.
2. Primary and Secondary Education
o Kaye began his academic journey in Mukono District, showing resilience despite repeated school years due to his medical challenges.
o He earned his Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) from Mukono High School.
o He later joined Namboole High School, where he completed his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) (2018–2019), studying History, Luganda, Divinity, Computer, and General Paper, and achieving 7 points.
3. University Education
o Kaye enrolled at Uganda Christian University, where he pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration (SWASA). He acquired skills in administration, social service, leadership, and collaboration, which became integral to his professional endeavors.
4. Working Experience
o Probation Officer (Intern): Worked with the Senior Probation and Social Welfare Office at Mukono District Local Government Headquarters. This role provided valuable experience in social welfare and administration.
o Project Coordinator (Intern): Contributed at Upendo Mikono Charity Foundation, assisting children with disabilities, a role that strengthened his compassion and organizational skills.
o Office Assistant (Volunteer): Currently serving at Hand in Hand Uganda, focusing on administrative tasks and support functions.
o Volunteer at Mukono SNE Primary School: Since January 2024, Kaye has been assisting at a school for children with special needs, furthering his commitment to community service and inclusivity.
