Job Description

EDUCATION

• An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized university or institution.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION

• Professional qualifications from a recognized body such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or an equivalent recognized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of two to five years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESTECHNICAL SKILLS

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with accounting software, such as Integrated Financial Management Systems (IFMS).

SOFT SKILLS

• Integrity and Professionalism: High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Compliance: Knowledge of Uganda’s statutory and tax regulations is required.
• Computer Literacy: Essential for modern accounting roles.
