The key purpose of this role is to maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and legislation
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
- Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant
- documentation / systems
- Plan and prepare the job
- Carry out repairs / maintenance
- Continuously improve
- Optimize plant process equipment and systems
- Operate plant and process equipment
- Calibrate instruments
- Communicate effectively in teams
- Contribute to self and team development
- All work is carried out using the Manufacturing Way work practices
- Calibrate the equipment according to good maintenance practice.
- Assess proper functioning of instrumentation equipment and request for repair or replacement in case of need.
- Assess nature of repair on instrumentation depending on nature of defect as quick fix or replacement.
- Negotiate stoppage of machines with line team leaders to avoid more unnecessary down time and equipment damage.
- Stop the machine if it appears to endanger safety of the operational team.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in his area of operation.

Minimum Requirements:
- HND or equivalent in (Electrical or Instrumentation)
- Millwright or Electromechanical Artisan
- 3 – 6 months on the job training plus Vendor Maintenance
- 6 – 9 months on the job plus Siemens S7 PLC Training
- Routine electrical and instrumentation maintenance on similar
- Brewing and utilities plants.
