Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chinese Translator to accurately interpret written and spoken content between Chinese and [English/local language]. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese, as required) and English, with strong cultural knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate documents, emails, reports, and business materials from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• Interpret live conversations during meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
• Ensure translations retain the original meaning, tone, and context.
• Proofread and edit translated materials for accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in localizing content for marketing, legal, or technical purposes.
• Support cross-functional teams with real-time translation needs.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive company information.
• Stay updated with Chinese language trends, terminology, and cultural references.

Qualifications:

• Chinese, Translation, Linguistics, or related field.
• Proven work experience as a translator or interpreter (1–3 years preferred).
• Excellent command of both Chinese and English (spoken and written).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Cultural awareness and adaptability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of industry-specific terminology (e.g., legal, medical, technical).
• Experience in live interpretation or simultaneous translation.
