Job Description

To drive and maintain assigned vehicle in accordance with prevailing Government policies, regulations and guidelines.

Salary:

 UFZEPA – 8

Terms:

 Three (3) Year Contract (Renewable upon good performance)

Person Specifications

a) Academic Qualifications

  1. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or equivalent + Valid driving permit

b) Work Experience

  • Working experience: Nil

c) Competencies

i) Technical

  • Responsible driving & demonstrated driving competencies
  • Basic motor vehicle maintenance
  • Records and Information Management
  • Abide by traffic rules, regulations and guidelines

ii) Behavioral

  • Communicating effectively
  • Team work
  • Problem solving
  • Ethics and integrity
  • Results orientation
  • Time Management
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily vehicle maintenance checks and report
  • Drive vehicle for official duties and assignments
  • Maintain updated records: logbook, insurance, license, service card
  • Report technical/mechanical faults to supervising/transport officer
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety
