Job Description

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Education:

a) Degree or equivalent (additional certifications in hospitality management related is a plus).

2. Experience:

a) Proven experience of 2 years and above in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.

b) Knowledge of Christian hospitality principles and practices.

3. Communication Skills:

a) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

b) Ability to effectively communicate with guests, staff, and management.

4. Leadership:

a) Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

b) Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

5. Customer Service:

a) Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

b) Ability to handle guest concerns with empathy and professionalism.

6. Organizational Skills:

a) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

b) Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards.

7. Must be a mature and committed Christian of high integrity.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise Dining Operations:

a) Oversee the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage service in the dining area.

b) Ensure smooth and efficient service delivery, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

2. Staff Management:

a) Lead and motivate a team of dining staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and cleaning personnel.

3. Customer Service:

a) Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met.

b) Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests with a focus on customer satisfaction.

4. Collaboration:

a) Collaborate with the Executive chef for the smooth operation in areas of menu planning and development, cost and quality control, event planning and execution, special dietary requirement, etc

5. Effectively communicate to the Hospitality officer regarding:

a) Supplies for specific for food service

b) Staff discipline/ indiscipline and training needs

c) Innovation / Improvement suggestions

d) Customer feedback

e) Inventory management

6. Adherence to Christian Values:

a) Uphold and promote the Christian values and ethos of the guest house in all interactions and operations.

b) Foster a spirit of hospitality and warmth reflective of our Christian identity.

7. Any other official duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
