Job Description

JOB TITLE: GRADUATE TRAINEE-SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzing (Performing research) business processes and Performing research on an organization’s current technology needs to develop recommendations for improvements to existing systems or processes and services.
  • Working with software developers in a team environment to test new software releases.
  • Participate in Designing/maintaining and updating new software applications, web solutions, and business reports or improving existing ones based on client/business needs
  • Help with the software implementations by providing training and support for the staff who will operate the software/systems. (Preparing user manuals/ learning guides for systems developed).
  • Setting up new computers, networks, and software for new employees.
  • Provide low-level network administration services and assist in the first line of support for network infrastructure.
  • Monitoring the health of the overall network and in-house legacy systems used, reporting problems and incidents as necessary.
  • Providing support to IT staff responding to user requests.
  • Communicate and coordinate customer/client concerns relating to IT.
  • Installing operating systems and other computer software applications on new computers.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that all technology is working properly for the company.
  • Supporting the maintenance of existing computer systems, including troubleshooting/debugging problems with hardware and software (technical support.
  • Meet with business teams and technical support staff to evaluate and assess user satisfaction.
  • Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management.
  • Organize and maintain IT resources.
  • Assisting with computer network security by scanning for vulnerabilities and viruses
  • Performing research at a supervisor’s request.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Computer Science, Information Technology, Software engineering, or Management
  • Information Systems major.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Familiar with System administration, basic knowledge in Networks, Java or PHP, Databases MySQL or Oracle, Web/Mob Programming, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and can implement them.
  • Anticipate problems (and escalates when appropriate), demonstrate strong prioritization and organization skills, is analytical, and detailed, and takes actions to complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and service oriented.
