Job Description

BRAC Bank Uganda is hiring a Human Resource Business Partner (Western Region) responsible for driving the achievement of business and overall bank objectives through the implementation of human resources strategy, policies, and practices. In partnership with the Heads of Departments, Regional Managers, and line supervisors, the HRBP provides consultancy services to enable the delivery of best practices and HR-focused solutions to BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd.

Reports to: Manager Culture and Engagement

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Manpower Planning: Analyze resource gaps, maintain the required headcount, oversee recruitment, induction, career and succession planning, probationary management, leave management, and exit processes.

b) Organizational Design and Change Management: Monitor the appropriate use of various types of employee contracts and staff resources, implement change initiatives, drive and deliver HR strategies to support business objectives, and collaborate with operational management teams to identify areas for improvement.

c) Learning and Development Management: Identify training needs assessments, facilitate career conversations, and oversee talent management to enhance employee growth and development.

d) Performance Management: Foster a performance-driven culture, coordinate performance appraisals, manage the feedback process, and oversee performance improvement plans (PIP).

e) Employee Relations: Interpret policies and procedures, address employee grievances and complaints, and ensure workplace harmony.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or any related professional qualification (e.g., CIPS is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role within a busy company/organization, preferably in a supervisory role.
