Key Accounts Manager

Reports To: Sales Manager

Location: Bondstar Adhesives Limited, Plot 20, Luba House, Mpererwe Gayaza Road

Job Purpose

The Key Accounts Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and growing relationships with Bondstar Adhesives’ most important customers, including major hardware stores, construction companies, real estate developers, and institutional buyers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
• Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.

• Achieve sales and revenue targets from assigned key accounts.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
• Prepare and negotiate sales agreements/contracts with key accounts.

• Ensure consistent and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor customer performance and proactively resolve issues.
• Coordinate with operations, logistics, and finance to ensure timely order fulfillment and service delivery.

• Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.
• Conduct market research to understand customer trends and competitor activity.
• Provide regular account updates, forecasts, and reports to management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Achieve at least 90% of quarterly and annual sales targets from assigned accounts.
• Increase revenue from key accounts by 15% month-on-month.
• Maintain a customer satisfaction rating of 90% or higher.
• Achieve customer retention rate of at least 90%.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in B2B/key account management, preferably in construction materials, adhesives, paints, or FMCG.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.

Ability to travel and visit clients regularly.
