Job Description
Main purpose of the job
- To effectively represent UTB, prosecute and defend cases for and against UTB in courts of law and quasi-judicial bodies.
- To give legal advice, draft contracts/agreements/MOUs and assist the Manager in conducting BoardAffairs
Minimum qualifications and certifications
- Bachelor of Laws with honors (LLB) from a recognised and reputable University,
- Postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice (Dip LP),
- Certificate of Enrolment as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda,
- Valid Practicing Certificate.
- At least 3 years of relevant post-enrollment experience

SKILLS
- Ability to provide sound legal advice on all matters pertinent to UTB’s statutory mandate
- Ability to draft various types of legal documents and legal briefs
- Demonstrable experience in case management, litigation and Court practice
- Ability to conduct extensive and comprehensive legal research to aid in decision-making
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Proven high level of integrity
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Problem-solving skills
