Job Purpose | | |
To support the execution of technical responsibilities at the Regional Office in alignment with the mission of the Commission. | | |
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities | | |
1. Conduct technical inspections at the designated Regional Office and prepare reports in line with the Commission’s mission of developing a robust communications sector that drives economic growth.
2. Conduct spectrum measurements/monitoring in the designated Regional Office and prepare timely reports. 3. Maintain an updated database of technical data and UCC assets register at the designated regional office including remote monitoring stations. 4. Conduct enforcement procedures on noncompliance of operations following license terms and conditions at the designated Regional office. 5. Assist head office staff in executing routine procedures and resolving technical requests and complaints at the designated Regional Office and prepare appropriate responses. 6. Mobilise external stakeholders to attend and participate in UCC workshops, competitions and any other event organised at the designated Regional Office. 7. Troubleshoot technical problems for UCC technical equipment and assist in the preparation of appropriate responses to technical complaints in the region. 8. Maintain flexibility to accommodate any other duties assigned by the line supervisor from time to time. | | |

1. Technical issues resolved on the first customer contact and remotely without on-site visits. 2. Average time taken to respond to a support request. 3. Customer satisfaction with IT support services. 4. Incidents that require escalation to higher support levels. 5. Compliance with agreed-upon SLAs for response and resolution times 6. Average downtime for IT equipment within the region. | | |
Education and Professional Qualifications | | |
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication engineering or Electrical engineering or related field. | | |
Working Experience | | |
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering in a similar corporate environment. | | |
