OPERATIONS MANAGER
LOCATION: KAMPALA
REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To oversee and coordinate all daily waste collection operations, ensuring timely service delivery, effective team supervision, fleet efficiency, safety compliance, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and coordinate daily waste collection routes
- Supervise drivers, loaders, and field team leads
- Monitor fuel usage, vehicle maintenance, and breakdowns
- Resolve client complaints and ensure service quality
- Ensure team discipline, safety, and productivity
- Submit daily and weekly operational reports to management
- Respond to operational issues promptly and proactively
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Logistics, Operations, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years in operations/fleet/logistics management
- Experience managing drivers and casual laborers a must
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and route planning
- Leadership, problem-solving, and people management skills
