Job Description
DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for proper freight contract management and implementation while following Company guidelines and policies
- Coordinate with forwarding and clearing agencies to ensure timely delivery of all shipments
- Evaluate clearing agents and forwarders’ performance in terms of delivery timelines and reliability
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packing materials, intermediates, and finished goods
- Optimize stock levels to ensure availability while minimizing carrying costs and expiry risks
- Work with the Procurement Team to ensure timely ordering of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Create and update Production schedules based on capacity, material availability, and customer requirements
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Engineering Teams to avoid delays
- Provide insights for continuous improvement of planning and logistics strategies
- Track KPls such as inventory turnover, service levels, and order fulfilment rates
- Use SAP to analyze data and generate reports
- Act as a key link between Supply Chain and other departments
- Participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, Logistics and Transportation, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Science Technology, or any other related field;
Membership to the Institute of Procurement Professionals of Uganda (IPPU) or Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda
(PSU) is an added advantage - At least 3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setup

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to create clear, concise, and accurate documents/reports
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Understanding and adhering to relevant standards and regulations
- Detail oriented and with excellent analytical
- Self-started, flexible and able to work well under pressure
- Computer knowledge (proficiency in MS office)
