Job Description The role will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales teams by developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies and initiatives that build sales skills and knowledge to drive business growth and revenue.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop Sales Capability Development (CD) Strategy and Training Plan
  • Formulate, manage, and drive Sales strategy in conjunction with Regional Managers and Key Accounts Managers.
  • Translate Corporate Commercial Strategic objectives into broad Commercial Capability Development strategy.
  • Develop and provide a Sales performance scorecard used for rewarding sales team.
  • Develop and maintain training standards and a framework of accreditation, aligned to global best practice.
  • Develop, consolidate and co-ordinate Sales KPI Measurement and reporting.
  • Drive the implementation of Information technology solutions to give better frontline visibility/connectivity of processes to drive picture of success and availability in the market.
  • Develop and support the implementation of Sales business processes.
  • Ensure that identified training facilities, budgets, human resources, and projects are well utilized in the successful execution of the plan.
  • Select and advise on optimal learning and delivery methods to maximize learning and sustainability of knowledge.
  • Build frontline capability through the role out of world class training and development programs in conjunction with People and Culture.
Skills, Experience & Education Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline.
  • Added advantage: Relevant postgraduate qualifications.

Experience

  • Minimum requirement: 8 years relevant experience in FMCG sales, and/or marketing.
  • Strong track record of enabling the delivery of business results through actionable insights.
  • Experience in establishing knowledge management systems that build capability.
  • Experience in effective metric management that drives continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements; ability to comprehend and comment on general macro-economics.
  • Leadership experience in sales and/or capability development
