Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To engage NMG social media audiences using various channels.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality assurance: Ensure the aesthetic qualities of all NMG social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, WhatsApp & TikTok accounts are always maintained and in a professional way.
- Create engaging content that has value-adds and is tailored to the different social media.
- Schedule social media posts and observe follower responses.
- Monitor and track audience growth on all NMG social media channels.
- Online Feedback: Engage with audiences, and circulate accurate reports, detailing results of performance, and areas of possible improvement.
- Ensure that Banner adverts and in-house campaigns are promoted/published at the appropriate time.
- Oversee content strategy and drive uptake on all NMG social media platforms and ensure they are being utilized effectively in consultation with the respective departments.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Academic: University Degree in journalism, marketing, communication or a related field from an accredited institution
Experience: 2-3 years’ experience
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Good IT and Digital media skills.
- Demonstrated creativity, immersion in social media and a keen eye for design.
- In-depth understanding of social media platforms, their participants and community dynamics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of social media listening tools
- Results-oriented attitude.
- Video editing and graphic design experience is an added advantage
